English and Japanese speaking intellectual property experts in the firm's Tokyo office advise on patent litigation and commercialisation strategies for Japanese clients with respect to Japan, other parts of Asia, Europe and the US and for foreign clients with respect to Japan. In the US, our patent litigation team operates out of the firm's New York office.
Many of our patent lawyers have scientific or engineering backgrounds and experience in industry. We are assisted by an in-house science unit which consists of post-doctoral scientists with expertise in areas including biosciences and pharmaceuticals and we have long standing relationships with leading specialised patent agents in various technical areas for patent prosecution and related issues.
