A world-class international law firm

Lovells' transactional energy unit is at the centre of the energy, natural resources and infrastructure practice in our international offices and draws on experience in each jurisdiction to respond to the needs of the international energy, power and utilities sector.  Its main focus is mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and IPOs and other financings.  In relation to ventures involving major plant investment we work closely with colleagues with in-depth experience in the most up‑to‑date financing techniques and our skilled colleagues in the engineering and construction projects unit.

In each of these areas the experience of other members of the energy, power and utilities unit in relation to regulatory and other matters particular to the sector complements the transactional team.  The unit also receives support from the firm's substantial anti-trust group (including the EU Commission unit based in our Brussels office) and, when required, skilled professionals in other areas such as tax, environmental and real estate.
