Members of our energy projects team have experience of working on a wide variety of projects in many countries around the world.  The following is just a selection:

  • advising a major international oil company on the financing and construction of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, the jacket and topsides and shuttle tanker

  • advising the arrangers (the IFC, ABN Amro and Crédit Agricole Indosuez) on the financing of the Chad Cameroon Pipeline project with respect to local and civil law issues, including oil and gas upstream regulations, transport by pipeline issues, establishment conventions and direct agreements with the Governments of Chad and of Cameroon

  • acting for the senior and subordinated lenders on their participation in the project financing of a cement plant and associated power station and associated cement plant in Vietnam

  • advising on various aspects of Snohvit LNG Project including LNG sales arrangements

  • acting for members of a consortium on its bid for construction and operation of the Guangdong LNG receiving terminal

  • advising a consortium led by KBC Bank of Belgium in respect of all aspects of a JEXIM (now JBIC) backed structured financing (with syndicated lending) for a US$300 million oil refinery project in Ukraine

  • advising the Keppel Merlimau Cogen Pte Ltd on the 470 MW Keppel Merlimau IPP Power Project on Jurong Island, Singapore

  • acting for The Ceylon Electricity Board, The Ceylon Petroleum Company and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Infrastructure and Investment in relation to the Kelanitissa 163 MW Power Project in Sri Lanka

  • advising Nissho Iwai Corporation in relation to the Meghnaghat Power Project consisting of a 439 MW combined cycle gas power generating station in Meghnaghat, Bangladesh

  • advising Nissho Iwai Corporation in relation to the BOT Changsha Power Project consisting of two 350 MW coal-fire generator units in Hunan Province, China

  • advising Xenel on its BOO bid for a 1750 MW power station and associated facilities at Shoaiba, Saudi Arabia.
