The firm has competition law expertise in Brussels, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK as well as in Amsterdam, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Russia. We offer a coordinated pan-European service covering both EU and national competition regimes. We also have competition law expertise in the Far East, (Hong Kong, China and Singapore), and in the United States.
We advise on:
- mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures under the EC Merger Regulation, as well as under national merger control regimes. We also co-ordinate multi-jurisdictional merger clearances throughout Europe and elsewhere in the world
- cartel, abuse of dominance and other competition investigations. We have been involved in many of the leading cases under EU competition law since the early 1980s. We also have extensive experience in national competition law investigations
- competition litigation, both before the Court of First Instance and the European Court of Justice, where we have been involved in a number of landmark cases over the last 20 years, as well as at national level where litigation between private parties on competition issues is steadily increasing
- contract review and compliance, where our aim is to ensure that competition issues are identified and resolved at an early stage. We provide guidance and training on how to handle on-site investigations (or "dawn raids") by the European Commission and by national competition authorities and regulators.
