Andrew has throughout his career, worked within the banking and corporate finance area. He is heavily involved in the fields of commodity and project finance, acting both for borrowers and bank syndicates. The structured finance work has entailed advising banks and structuring financings for the benefit of parastatal and commercial entities in Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Russia.

Recent transactions include:
- €850m Senior Structured Commodity Trade Finance Facility for KME Group arranged by Deutsche Bank AG as Initial Mandated Lead Arranger. This was an inventory-based financing with security taken in England, France, Germany and Italy. Second ranking security was taken by GE Corporate Finance Bank SAS which provided factoring facilities of up to €800m

- advising Deutsche Bank AG, ING Bank NV, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and The Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd as Mandated Lead Arrangers on a US$2.1bn pre-export finance facility for Kazakhmys Group

- advising Barclays Capital as arranger of a US$550m syndicated loan facility to the State Administration of Rail Transport of Ukraine (Ukraliznytzya) and related railway companies

- acting for Societe Generale as arranger of a US$300m syndicated loan facility for OSJC "MMC" Norilsk Nickel

- acting for Standard Bank Plc as one of the arrangers of a US$325m syndicated loan facility to JSC The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine

- advising on a US$300m trade finance facility for Steel Invest Trading S.A., acting for ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as Mandated Lead Arranger and Agent

- advising on US$325m multi-currency trade finance facilities for Duferco S.A., acting for BNP Paribas (Suisse) S.A. as Mandated Lead Arranger and Agent

- advising on a US$150m structured trade finance facility for San Zeno Acciai – Duferco S.p.A. and Travi e Profilati di Pallanzeno S.p.A., acting for Deutsche Bank S.p.A. as Mandated Lead Arranger and Deutsche Bank AG, Amsterdam Branch, as Facility Agent
