Nick specialises in advising clients in the global insurance and reinsurance industry. He has been with the firm throughout his career and is a solicitor-advocate. He has extensive experience of litigation and arbitration in England and in a number of other jurisdictions. Nick has represented clients in a large number of mediations (and other forms of ADR) both in the UK and the US.

A large part of Nick's practice is concerned with the resolution of coverage disputes which frequently involve cross-border issues. Nick also has extensive experience of disputes relating to misrepresentation and non-disclosure claims, underwriting pools and agencies, captive insurers, settlement of claims, brokers and insolvencies. Nick's advisory work includes policy drafting, advice on contract interpretation, arrangements for the distribution of insurance products, intermediary agreements, exit solutions, regulatory advice and assistance with commutations.

Nick is a regular speaker at industry conferences and the editor of Lovells quarterly insurance and reinsurance bulletin. He is a director of the Royal Courts of Justice Citizens Advice Bureau.
