Advising the Dubai Islamic Bank on a US$3.5 billion P&O sukuk advising Barclays Capital on a PCFC sukuk and a Nakheel US$2.5 billion convertible sukuk advising HSBC Amanah on numerous syndicated and bilateral facilities including expansion of the Istanbul Airport and US$100 million Turkcell financings


Advising Standard Chartered on a KFH US$850 million debt syndicated facility.


Rahail is Lovells’ global head of Islamic finance. He graduated from Birmingham University with an LLB and went on to study international law at Cambridge University.

He is well know in the Islamic finance industry for the quality of his practice. Rahail has received accreditation for being one of the world's leading Islamic finance lawyers in a number of publications, including Chambers Global, IFLR, Asian Law Yearbook, Legal 500 and PLC Yearbook.

In a recent 12 month period his team advised on transactions with a deal value in excess of US$12 billion.
