Nicholas has extensive experience of a wide range of commercial litigation, advising clients involved in disputes in England and other jurisdictions. Nicholas has particular expertise in handling professional indemnity disputes involving a range of professionals including claims against leading firms of solicitors and accountants. Nicholas has defended claims arising from a wide range of circumstances including tax advice, corporate acquisitions, investment trusts, litigation, property investment, trusts and pensions. He also acts for professional indemnity insurers in coverage disputes.

Nicholas also specialises in pension disputes and claims against professionals involved in occupational pension schemes. In addition, Nicholas has expertise in relation to competition law claims before domestic courts and tribunals.

Nicholas is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, where he worked in the firm's office for two years until 1999. He is a qualified solicitor-advocate and is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association and the Association of Pension Lawyers. He often takes part in seminars and writes on professional indemnity issues and pension disputes.
