Robert has been head of the Lovells real estate practice since 1995 and is the client partner for a number of the firm's major real estate clients.
Robert has wide experience of the commercial real estate market both in the UK and overseas, specialising in real estate related financing, real estate investments and innovative real estate joint venture and development projects. In particular, he has been very involved in real estate PFI/REPs and corporate outsourcing. He has also been instrumental in the development of the award winning Mexican-Wave concept for the delivery of legal services.
Robert lectures on real estate finance and corporate outsourcing in the UK, Europe and Asia and is co-editor of Property Joint Ventures – Structures and Precedents (Second Edition - Sweet & Maxwell 2001). He is a "Leading Individual" practitioner in Chambers UK Directory 2007 and in the Legal 500 2008.
He is a member of the Investment Property Forum and a director of the British Property Federation. He is also a member of Estates Gazette Legal Advisory Board, Owners and Occupiers Property Forum, SIDA - the OGC's Property Industry Reference Group, MCC and an Appeal Steward of the British Boxing Board of Control.
