Philip is a senior tax partner at Lovells and advises in relation to all aspects of corporate tax. He has particular experience in relation to M&A, real estate, finance and cross-border related issues.

Philip is based in London, and was previously head of the international tax practice (1998-2005) and managing partner in the firm's New York office (1994-1998).

Philip advises UK and international clients in relation to the taxation of business and investment activities. He has experience with structuring the tax efficient acquisition, ownership and disposal of shares, securities, real estate and other assets, the interpretation of double taxation treaties and the application of transfer pricing rules. He advises a number of US based multinationals as well as UK and European and Asian based businesses. He was a resident partner in Lovells New York office from 1994 to 1998 and was head of international tax practice from 1998 to 2005, overseeing its expansion to cover 11 offices in 9 jurisdictions. He has written on the taxation of e-commerce and maintains his membership of the ABA Tax Section where he is invited to speak on international tax issues from time to time.
