Michael is Head of Lovells' International Arbitration practice. He has conducted ICC, UNCITRAL and LCIA arbitrations on behalf of international clients for many years. He has represented numerous clients in significant international cases before the courts of England, France, Bermuda and the British Virgin Islands.

He acts for clients from a wide range of jurisdictions and industry sectors including banking, commodities trading, energy and engineering. He has broad experience in all aspects of the arbitration process including ancillary proceedings before national courts on interim measures and enforcement. He has acted as counsel on several high profile arbitrations and mediations.

He practised in France for six years where he was admitted as an avocat.

He is also a qualified mediator and has higher rights of audience in the courts of England and Wales.
