Richard Tyler

Richard has responsibility in Lovells EPU Team for LNG, power and renewables. He is currently working on the feasilibility study for an LNG import terminal in Singapore and is a regular speaker at LNG conferences.

Richard is an expert on UK and European gas and power trading agreements. He has been involved in many of the recent developments in liberalisation of European gas and power markets. He also advises on regulatory issues and the acquisition and disposal of energy assets. He is identified as a leading energy lawyer in both Legal 500 and Chambers Legal Directories.

Before joining Lovells in 1997 Richard worked as in-house counsel for Amoco principally as adviser to the Central Area Transmission System, one of the largest pipeline infrastructure systems in the UK North Sea. He has considerable experience of pipeline transportation agreements, specification and allocation issues and long term take-or-pay or send-or-pay contracts. He is currently advising on the restructuring of a gas processing plant on Teeside. He is a contributor to Daiwith, Willoughby and Hill's "United Kingdom Oil & Gas Law" (3rd edition, Sweet & Maxwell).
