David is head of the firm's specialist employment group (both in the UK and internationally). He joined the firm in 1976 and has specialised in employment and industrial relations law since qualifying as a solicitor in 1978.

His experience and knowledge covers the entire range of employment law issues, transactions, litigation and advisory.

On transactions, David has been involved in many flotations, mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, PFI projects and public/private sector ventures. Often he has tackled employment issues critical to the success of the deal.

On the dispute side of the employment practice, he has conducted numerous tribunal cases (many as the advocate in tribunal) including unfair dismissal, sex, race and disability discrimination.

Finally, David advises many companies on day to day employment issues including restructurings, employment policies, dismissals and general support on all HR issues.
