Lovells appoints two outside members to its international executive

22 June 2006

International law firm Lovells has appointed two outside members to its International Executive.  Aram Shishmanian and Philip Gore-Randall have joined the International Executive for an initial period of three years in non-executive roles.  The appointments follow the retirement of Christopher Sheridan at the end of April.

Aram Shishmanian has spent his entire career at Accenture where he has held a number of senior positions, culminating in becoming a senior partner and head of the financial markets practice.   Philip Gore-Randall is a Director of Aon UK Ltd, a leading insurance broker and risk management and human capital consultant, which he joined in 2003.  Before this, he spent over 25 years with Arthur Andersen, where he held a number of senior roles including UK Managing Partner.

The International Executive, chaired by David Harris as Managing Partner, has responsibility for developing Lovells' strategy across its practice areas and regions and for the full range of business-driving issues.  The full membership is given in the notes for editors.

Commenting on the appointments, David Harris said:

"We are delighted that Aram and Philip have agreed to become outside members of Lovells' International Executive.  Their familiarity with partnerships, combined with their extensive business experience, means they bring a valuable perspective to many of the issues that face international law firms such as Lovells.    They are joining at an exciting time for the firm as we build on our success in 2005/06.  We have a strong platform for growth and our international network is demonstrating real benefits for our clients and the firm as a whole."
