We run two mentoring schemes for school students at St Aloysius College and the Central Foundation School.  The aim is to build the self-confidence of the young students to help them realise their potential.

The firm is also involved in Partners in Leadership, where senior partners are matched to individual head teachers in a mentoring relationship which helps address the management challenges faced by head teachers.

Lovells' Human Resources department works with Training for Life and Business Action on Homelessness, to regularly deliver a training programme to those at risk of homelessness to help develop their confidence.  The training covers C.V. preparation and interview techniques, and is the first step to many securing employment.

Employee involvement is also the focus of our project with the Whitechapel Mission.  Founded in 1876, it still provides food, clothing, lodging and friendship for upwards of 3,000 homeless people a year.  As well as providing legal advice to the charity, we have "volunteered" at the centre, serving early morning breakfasts.
