Thames21
We have been spending a lot of time working together on the registration asset transfer of Thames21 as a charity. However, this was the first time we were on a boat together to experience first hand how the charity has contributed to the cleanliness of the River Thames. We boarded a Port of London driftwood craft, which is a trawler adapted to clear the river of floating debris as it cruises along the Thames. Although the rubbish we picked up during the afternoon was nothing more exciting than some milk bottles and some wrecked wood, we were told that in March the driftwood craft had lifted very smart Aston Martin from the river at Putney! The incorporation of Thames21 as a charity has been a team effort and I was pleased to be behind this transformation.
